August 10, 2007 - EarthFax to Design and Oversee Construction of Municipal Water System Upgrades

Salt Lake City, Utah –EarthFax Engineering, Inc. ("EarthFax") has been awarded a contract for engineering design and construction supervision of the USD $4.3 million Escalante City culinary water system upgrades.  Components of the project include rehabilitating an existing 2,000 foot deep culinary water well, developing a spring, replacing 14 miles of water delivery line from several springs to the water storage tanks, repairing the lid on one of the water storage tanks, adding or replacing approximately 29,000 feet of distribution water lines within the City, and adding new fire hydrants.  EarthFax also assisted the city in acquiring the necessary funding to allow for design and construction of these project tasks.

“These upgrades will do much to ensure that city residents will have the water they need now, in addition to accommodating growth rates projected by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget through the year 2050,” said Rich White, owner and president of EarthFax.
