December 17, 1999 - EarthFax Combines Forces to Address Contaminants in Solid and Liquid Media

Salt Lake City, Utah - EarthFax Engineering, Inc. and its affiliate EarthFax Development Corporation ("EarthFax") recently entered into a joint technology and business development agreement with the Georgia firm, Advanced Biological Services ("ABS"), to develop opportunities for commercializing the patented white rot fungus ("WRF") technology in liquid and solid media. This technology utilizes naturally occurring forest fungi to degrade a wide variety of carbon-based contaminants, including wood preservatives, pesticides, herbicides, explosives, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, cyanide, dyes, and others.

EarthFax and ABS hold separate licenses from separate entities to apply the WRF technology in solid and liquid media, respectively. This agreement will permit them to combine their expertise to commercialize fungal-based treatment systems for both media under a variety of site conditions.
