June 5, 2006 - EarthFax to Inventory and Model the Process and Stormwater Sewer System at a Major Petroleum Refinery

Salt Lake City, Utah –EarthFax Engineering, Inc. ("EarthFax") has recently begun work to inventory and model the process and stormwater sewer systems at a major oil refinery in northern Utah.  The goals of this project are to ensure that the process and stormwater sewer systems are not interconnected, to determine what the current capacity of each system is, and to recommend changes or additions to the systems that will meet future needs.  Project tasks include creating a comprehensive record of pipe locations and diameters, appurtenance locations, elevations of key features, and locations of any inlets or cross connections.

Project tasks to be undertaken by EarthFax include reviewing existing information, performing a field inventory of the existing systems, mapping, modeling the flow of the system to determine whether flow capacities meet operational requirements, identifying possible problems in the existing systems, and providing recommendations for system improvements.  EarthFax has also been tasked with preparing an interactive database that the client can use in the future to electronically access information regarding individual components of the system.  Upon request, EarthFax will also assist the client by providing plans, specifications, costs estimates, construction management, and as-constructed drawings for improvements made to the system.
