September 22, 2009 - EarthFax President to Serve on Trade Advisory Committee

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration has appointed Richard B. White of EarthFax Engineering, Inc. to a two-year term on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (“ETTAC”).  Mr. White will represent the water and wastewater segments of the environmental industry sector as part of his committee assignment.  The appointment cited Mr. White’s industry knowledge as being “critical to the Department of Commerce in pursuing trade objectives that reflect the concerns and interests of the private sector.”

ETTAC was chartered as a result of the Jobs Through Trade Expansion Act of 1994 and is comprised of senior level offices from the private sector that work as an advisory committee to the U.S. government on policies and programs for exporting U.S. environmental goods and services.

Mr. White has over thirty years experience as a civil and environmental engineer with expertise in water-supply development, hydrologic engineering, assessment of environmental contamination, and design of contaminant remediation systems.  He also served two terms as a board member and chairman of the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board.  He is a registered professional engineer and currently serves as a member of the Utah Centers of Excellence Advisory Council, Utah Office of Technology and Science.
